PERSONAL BIOGRAPHY
CJ-iDJ is not your average artist, originally from Slough but now residing in south London this 'Music Man' has been on the scene for a long time gaining a vast musical knowledge.
Being the youngest of three, his two older sisters gave him a 'Yo MTV Raps' education. CJ grew up on the sounds of LL Cool J, KRS1, Public Enemy & Tha Dogg Pound.
Beginning his journey as an out and out MC within the explosion of the UK garage scene it was quickly noticed that CJ Who then went by the name Alpha-C had a style of word play that would go into great depth on various 'non-cliche' subjects.
Being part of a three man crew (The Secret Society) which included one DJ (DJ Apex) and another MC (Brownie), the three were wowing crowds across the south of england with a energetic and charismatic style.
CJ-iDJ was a young footballer at this time, playing professionally for Brentford FC, then moving on to playing semi-professionally on the non-league circuit. CJ-iDJ sustained a career threatening injury which had to be operated on, It was during this rehabilitation time that CJ-iDJ began experimenting with production. First making uptempo tracks then moving back to where it all began with him... HipHop.
Being a creative artistic person CJ wanted to make sure that everything he did was different to the norm, after making the beats he would then begin laying vocals down line by line thinking on the spot until he had completed the vocals to whole songs. In a very short space of time CJ-iDJ has compiled a catalogue of songs with various concepts and subjects that are yet to be touched by anybody else musically.
CJ had been promoting his own nights in nightclubs for a number of years before deciding that the music being played wasn't exactly to his liking so to solve this problem he decided to start playing himself. His style of play has seen him quickly gain notoriety and won him gigs performing as a DJ in nightclubs all over London's west end, the UK and abroad in Egypt, Spain, Cyprus & Greece also securing a residency alongside Big name UK DJ's at London's most talked about HipHop & RnB night 'Diff'rent Strokes'.
2012 is set to be a big year for CJ-iDJ as a number of projects are already in motion. Watch this space.
